As a parent organization and distributor of TELS Books, Printed Matter Magazine, Printed Matter Press, Katydid Books, SARU Press International, Tarsier Books and Dragon River Press, we publish the best writing of the Pacific Basin, particularly poetry in English, Spanish and Japanese along with translations and bilingual editions. In 1988, we began our long association with the Tokyo English Literature Society, TELS Books, Printed Matter Magazine and Printed Matter Press and continue to distribute and copublish selected editions. In 2001, we established Tarsier Books to create a line of smaller, cheaper editions of “Little Books for Big Minds” and in 2005 began our association with Katydid Books in order to better distribute and reprint their Asian Poetry in Translation series, to which we are adding new titles.
