The Yin-Yang Journal A Critic of the Social Ego An Alternative Reading of the Maxims of Han Shan by RC Allen Listed in 1999, this book has not been distributed until now in the US. A sequel to The Yin-Yang Journal (Inner Eye Press, 1996, reissued as a Saru Press International title). A collection of observations in Jungian and transcendentalist terms concerning the social ego, it follows a sequence of themes suggested by the Maxims of Han Shan, the 16th century Chinese Buddhist poet known as the Cold Mountain Poet. “The authority figure has the power to enforce his decisions and to direct the actions of his underlings.
